Materials Technology for Biomedical Devices III
Advanced materials enable new medical devices and implants, such as smart implants for repairing brain injuries and implanted drug delivery systems. The key feature of these materials is “bio-compatibility”: a set of properties that ensures long-term acceptance of the material by the body.
