Carbon nanotubes, discovered as recently as 1991, possess such unique and remarkable properties that make them desirable for many applications. Nanotubes, which are considered the most promising nanomaterials, hold the promise of exceptionally functional materials that can be used in a wide range of applications such as nanoelectronics, automotive, biomedical and more. Rapid progress is being made in this area as well as in the development of exciting and sometimes revolutionary applications for nanotubes.
